    About the Clinic

    Our professional clinic serves nearly 9,000 people in town and about 40,000 in the surrounding area. Mountain View Health and Wellness is an inclusive, interdisciplinary clinic dedicated to maximizing overall patient health. Our chiropractors follow an evidence-based philosophy and practice. We also provide massage therapy and acupuncture services. Our approach emphasizes diagnosing patient conditions, pain management, improving mobility, and promoting overall wellness through collaborative, patient-focused care.

    Scope of Practice in Alberta

    Chiropractors in Alberta have a broad scope of practice, including spinal manipulation, ordering X-rays and specialist referrals, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitative exercises, and acupuncture (with proper certification). This wide-ranging autonomy allows practitioners to tailor care to each patient using the best available scientific evidence.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess patients, provide a diagnosis, and create a chiropractic treatment plan including corrective care, prevention, and rehabilitation.

    • Offer health and wellness consultations.

    • Collaborate with massage therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care and to minimize patient pain.

    Requirements

    • Doctor of Chiropractic degree (and eligible to practice in Alberta).

    • Proficiency in English (strong communication skills).

    • Evidence-based approach to care.

    • Acupuncture certification, or willingness to obtain it, is a strong asset.

    • Desire to work in a multidisciplinary team.

    • A good sense of humor is essential (we believe laughter belongs in the workplace, too!).

    Champ de pratique en Alberta

    En Alberta, les chiropraticiens possèdent un champ de pratique étendu: la manipulation vertébrale, la demande de radiographies et la requête aux spécialistes, la thérapie de tissus, les exercices de rééducation et l’acupuncture (pour ceux qui détiennent la certification appropriée). Cette large autonomie permet d’adapter les soins aux besoins de chaque patient en se basant sur les meilleures preuves scientifiques disponibles.

    Responsabilités :

    • Évaluer les patients, offrir un diagnostic de condition(s) et fournir un plan de traitement chiropratique de soins correctifs, de prévention et de réhabilitation

    • Proposer des consultations en matière de santé et de bien-être

    • Collaborer avec l’équipe de massothérapie et d’autres professionnels de santé pour assurer la meilleur qualité de soins et afin de minimiser la douleur chez le patient

    Exigences

    • Diplôme de docteur en chiropratique (et admissible à la pratique en Alberta).

    • Maîtrise de l’anglais (compétences de communication essentielles).

    • Approche basée sur des preuves scientifiques (evidence-based).

    • La certification en acupuncture, ou le désir de l’obtenir, est un atout important.

    • Envie de travailler au sein d’une équipe multidisciplinaire.

    • Un sens d’humour est indispensable (nous croyons autant à l’importance de rire tout en travaillant).
